Editing
We are currently in the middle of putting together our music video and ensuring that we have all the coverage used to make out video effective. So far we have managed to encorperate around half our our footage including the master shot and then some overlays of performance shots and some of slenderman and slender notes. For the editing of our music video we will be using the programe Final Cut.
The editing process has been very productive and the product that we are producing is starting to look proffesional and is looking like a music video that related to our target audience. So far we have encountered few difficulties whilst editing. The only major ones have been trying to get our editing cut on the beat and making sure that all of the performance shots are in time with the music, which includes lip syncing.
Everyone has been able to add an input into the editing, with various ideas flying around and being tested to see what if effective and what isnt. We have tried to follow the codes and conventions of our genre by having lots of fast paced shots with many cuts between the shots. We will add certain effects and filters into the video once we have produced our final shot layout and are happy with how all of the shots fit together. This will also be easier once we have gained target audience feedback. This feedback will allow us to be able to make the video better for our target audience and more appealing to them. This will also provide us with an idea of proffesionalism which is what we want to achieve from our video.
